Biography

Kerri is a trial attorney and serves as co-chair of Brouse McDowell's Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, which includes contractual disputes, business torts, employment and benefits law, and insurance recovery. Kerri serves as both lead and local counsel in a wide variety of litigation matters and has substantial and diverse experience, which makes her well-suited to resolve a variety of disputes.

Kerri takes a well-rounded approach to resolving business problems. At the onset of each dispute she helps her clients weigh all key factors, including their business objectives, the costs of litigation, and the impact on their business, while at the same time helping them take into consideration the effect the litigation may have on them personally.  She also helps her clients understand any associated benefits of various legal strategies. This information forms the foundation of her litigation approach.

When working as local counsel, Kerri assists her clients and their lead counsel to ensure that they do not run afoul of local customs, practices, and rules.  She also ensures that they get the knowledge and support that they need to successfully prosecute or defend their case in Ohio courts.  Prior to joining Brouse McDowell, Kerri was a law clerk to the Honorable John R. Adams in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio from 2003 through 2007.  She is a routine litigator in Ohio state and federal courts.

Kerri is currently a member of the Northern District of Ohio Advisory Group, a court-appointed panel charged with providing information on matters of interest to the court, assisting in the implementation of court-adopted programs, and bringing to the court's attention matters of interest to the bar and the community.
