Brouse McDowell Names New Partner & Practice Chair Appointments

Brouse McDowell, a leading regional business law firm, is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2018, Alexandra V. Dattilo was elected as partner in the firm, and Daniel L. Silfani has been named co-chair of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group.

Dattilo is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Insurance Coverage Practice Groups. Alexandra has experience with all aspects of litigation including representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings. She assists clients in resolving disputes, including those with employees, vendors, business partners and contractors. She has significant experience in managing complex discovery for insurance recovery cases, products liability and general business litigation. Alexandra is a member of the Akron, Cleveland Metropolitan, Ohio State and Federal Bar Associations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Silfani, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, will also serve as the Corporate and Security’s practice chair for the Akron office. Dan has a broad range of expertise in all aspects of corporate law and transactions, franchise and business opportunity law, as well as various public finance matters. This includes franchise development and operations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate counseling, and acting as issuer’s, underwriters or bond counsel with respect to taxable and tax-exempt conduit bond transactions. Dan is a member of the Akron, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Finance from The University of Akron where he graduated magna cum laude, his Master of Arts degree in Taxation from The University of Akron and his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve School of Law.
