Brouse McDowell Hosts 6th Annual Insurance Coverage Conference
October 11, 2018
Each year, Brouse McDowell hosts an Insurance Coverage Conference designed to provide critical information and cutting-edge updates to risk managers, in-house counsel, corporate executives, and insurance agents and brokers. This year’s conference addressed some of the more challenging issues faced by insurance-industry professionals, including:
- The legal landscape regarding insurance coverage for successor entities, including ways to ensure that a successor entity can access a predecessor entity’s insurance coverage;
- Best practices when placing business interruption coverage, as well as advice regarding making claims and calculating the value of loss; and,
- Navigating policy conditions to avoid coverage denials.
The program also provided its annual case law update, touching on cyber-insurance, environmental, and construction defect developments, among others. Moderated by attorney Gabrielle Kelly, speakers included Stacy RC Berliner, Lucas Blower, Jodi Spencer Johnson, Wes Lambert, Amanda Leffler, Drew Miller, and Paul Rose, all partners at Brouse McDowell, as well as Mary Marley of Oswald Companies and Jim Paskell of Litigation and Liability Management, LLC.
