Stanley E. Everett Stan Everett’s legal practice involves assisting publicly and privately held businesses in various types of transactions, including debt and equity offerings, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and other business combinations, as well as counseling companies and individuals with respect to corporate responsibilities, securities law obligations and similar concerns. He has served as bond counsel and as counsel to issuers and underwriters in a variety of municipal bond transactions.
Stan’s practice also encompasses negotiating transactions involving foreign business entities and the laws of foreign jurisdictions, including distributorship arrangements, the protection of intellectual property rights, the purchase and sale of goods and the use of letters of credit. Prior to joining Brouse McDowell in 1988, Stan was a lawyer with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, concentrating his practice in public and private finance transactions and securities law compliance.
Professional/Civic Activities He is the President of the Russia Vladivostok Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and is a Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at Case Western Reserve University Law School. Stan was a member of the board of editors for Brigham Young University during law school and retired in 2004 as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Articles/Presentations Stan is a Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at Case Western Reserve Law School, Cleveland, Ohio, where he presents a lecture on U.S. Capital Markets as part of his class "Doing Business in the United States." He participates annually in the school's International LLM program.
