Jeffrey T. Heintz Currently serving as managing partner of Brouse McDowell, Jeff's practice includes corporate counseling, commercial transactions and litigation, bankruptcy and creditors rights, and real estate. Jeff represents clients in the manufacturing, construction and real estate industries, including First American Title Insurance Company, Welty Building Company Ltd. and Rohrer Corporation. In addition, he serves as counsel for public agencies such as the Akron-Summit County Public Library and the Summit County Port Authority. Jeff is a partner on Brouse McDowell’s Creditors’ Rights, Real Estate and Pension Investment Committees. Inside Business magazine selected Jeff as one of the region’s “Leading Lawyers” in 2008 and 2009. He was also named an Ohio Super Lawyer in 2008, 2009 and 2010 through a peer- and achievement-based review by Law & Politics Media, Inc.
Professional/Civic Activities Jeff serves on the board of directors for the Greater Akron Chamber and North Akron Savings Bank. He is a member of the Silver Lake Village Planning Commission and is involved with the Blue Coats, a nonprofit organization supporting safety forces.
Jeff is a member of the Akron, Ohio State, North Carolina and American Bar Associations (Business Law and Practice Management Sections) and was recently elected to The Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors. He is Past President of the Akron Bar Association, as well as Past President and Life Fellow of the Akron Bar Association Foundation. Jeff is past Chair of the Ohio Supreme Court’s Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline and is a member of the 2007 Fellows’ Class of the Ohio State Bar Association Foundation. Jeff is a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference, member of the Commercial Law League of America and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
