David M. Hunter
David is currently the Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. He is recognized for his expertise in general business law and commercial law. In particular, David advises clients in the area of corporate business planning, having represented a variety of parties in reorganization and insolvency proceedings under federal bankruptcy law. He has orchestrated many successful commercial and residential real estate development projects, including the development and sale of over 600 residential condominiums. In addition, David serves as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors for Valley Savings Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank with assets in excess of $108 million. He has been listed every year in The Best Lawyers in America since 1989 for his expertise in banking law, in corporate law, and in bankruptcy law. David was recently recognized by Best Lawyer's as Akron's Best Banking Lawyer for 2011.

Professional/Civic Activities
David is active in the community, serving as vice president of the board of trustees of Western Reserve Academy and as chairman of the Education and Planning Committee. He is past president and a current member of the board of trustees of the Akron Roundtable; a member of the board of trustees of Western Reserve Public Media, the governing body of PBS channels 45 and 49; and a member of the board of trustees of Silver Lake Estates. David serves as Vice Chair of Akron Charitable Marathon Corporation and as co-chair of the course committee of the Road Runner Akron Marathon.

David is a member of the Akron and Ohio State Bar Associations.
