Thomas J. Wiencek
Tom is considered Akron's go-to labor lawyer when clients are challenged with sophisticated and high stakes labor issues and employment litigation. He is noted for his passion for labor law, his unparalleled client service and his proven track record of consistent successful results. 

Effective in 2002, Tom became one of a small group of attorneys in Ohio to become certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law. He was also recognized for significant contributions to the advancement of the Law as contributing editor for Developing Labor Law, most recently the fourth edition 2005 cumulative supplement.

Tom has been named as an Ohio SuperLawyer by Cincinnati Magazine, most years since 2003 and has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyer’s in America since 2008.

Professional/Civic Activities
Tom’s community involvement includes participating in the ministries at Historic St. Peter Church in Cleveland. Tom is a member in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Litigation Counsel of America, and the Scanlon Inn of Court. He also participates in the Rebuilding Cleveland project annually and is a trained "listener" at the 2100 Lakeside Men’s Shelter in Cleveland.

Tom is a member of the Akron and Cleveland Bar Associations, the Ohio State Bar Association’s Board of Governors Labor Section, and the American Bar Association Labor Section.
