Christopher F. Swing
As Chair of the Litigation practice group, Chris has more than eighteen years of real estate and business litigation experience. He has represented a substantial array of corporations, small businesses, political subdivisions and individuals in commercial real estate, title insurance, zoning, construction, and business lawsuits. His clients include title insurers, developers, construction contractors, privately-owned businesses, and individuals. Chris routinely practices in federal and state courts, appearing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the Ohio Supreme Court and other Ohio appellate courts.
Professional/Civic Activities
Chris’ community involvement has included service as a board member with Rebuilding Together (formerly known as Christmas in April), a non-profit organization aimed at creating warm, safe and dry homes for the elderly and disabled.
Chris is a member of the Akron, Ohio, Florida, and American Bar Associations and was selected as a 2005 and 2006 Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star. Chris is a graduate of Leadership Akron, Class XXIII, a not-for-profit corporation which is recognized as one of the area’s foremost leadership development programs whose purpose is to strengthen the region’s leaders, engage the community, and encourage the general public to take action to make community leadership dynamic, meaningful, relevant and timely. He is also a former member of the Planning Commission for the City of Munroe Falls, Ohio.
