Patricia A. Screen

Patty’s practice at Brouse McDowell is concentrated on complex commercial litigation. She has extensive experience in complex commercial and personal injury litigation, as well as products liability defense, breach of contract, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty disputes; defense of individual and class actions; real estate litigation; intellectual property matters; and ERISA and insurance coverage disputes.

Patty was defense counsel for one of the defendant professionals in the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas case of Chang v. Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Raina Krell, M.S., and Scott Strothers, which case was recognized by the National Law Journal as the “#1 Defense Verdict of the Year” and “Most Significant Civil Defense Verdict” of 2002. She is also experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Professional/Civic Activities
Patty was chosen by the Northern Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross to be one of the Region’s delegates at the Red Cross’s National Convention in May 2006. She is a recipient of the Northern Ohio Region’s GEM award. Patty is a Board Member for the American Red Cross Northern Ohio Blood Services Region.
