Client Alert: The Mask is Back

After the State of Ohio revised its internet postings yesterday, we advised our clients of where each industry scheduled for reopening stood as of the Governor’s daily press conference. This morning, the State has again revised its position, first, with respect to “Protocols for all businesses,” saying: #1. Require face coverings for employees and recommend them for clients/customers at all times.” Equally importantly, with respect to “Operating Requirements” for specific industries, the State now says as follows:

	Manufacturing, Distribution & Construction	Consumer, Retail & Services	General Office Environments
Mandatory Practices	Employees & Distributors Face coverings are required for employees and distributors, unless not advisable by a healthcare professional, against documented industry best practices, or not permitted by federal or state laws/regulations	Employees Face coverings are required for all employees, unless not advisable by a healthcare professional, against documented industry best practices, or not permitted by federal or state laws/regulations	Employees Face coverings are required for all employees, unless not advisable by a healthcare professional, against documented industry best practices, or not permitted by federal or state laws/regulations. A face covering is not required if an employee is working alone in an enclosed office space
