Suzanne Bretz Blum and Brian Merklin Present to the Cleveland Life Institute on "Managing the Social Enterprise: Legal and Regulatory Issues"

On Wednesday, April 15, Suzanne Bretz Blum and Brian Merklin held an online presentation for the Cleveland Life Institute (CLI) on “Managing the Social Enterprise: Legal and Regulatory Issues.” Brian spoke on corporate structures and tax issues while Suzanne spoke on non-profit board responsibilities and what to watch out for regarding trademarks and copyright law.

The Cleveland Life Institute’s motto is “growing together in a learning environment uniting passionate people hungering for transformation.” The program focuses on equipping individuals to accomplish personal goals for the benefit of the broader community and provides the basic elements to set up and manage a non-profit.
