Ed Smith Comments on Business Changes Brought on by the Pandemic in The Business Journal

Partner Edward Smith comments on the effects of the pandemic on businesses in the mid-October 2020 edition of Youngstown’s Business Journal.

In the article titled “Business Lawyers Navigate Ever Changing Regs,” Ed discusses increasing M&A activity in specific industries and the cautious optimism that his clients face. He notes that “merger and acquisition activity is evident in the manufacturing, transportation, commercial real estate, and warehousing and distribution sectors” and “[t]he clients I’m representing are still buying…But, they’re still being very careful and conservative.”

Further, he notes that “[i]nvestors – faced with an uneven stock market – are cautious and putting money into ventures where they foresee a solid return.”
