Cleveland Magazine Feature: Law in the O'Donnell Family

Cleveland Magazine featured Brouse attorneys Terrence O’Donnell, a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio, who is currently serving in an Of Counsel capacity at Brouse, and partner Michael O’Donnell, in Brouse’s Litigation Practice Group. The article titled “Law in the O'Donnell Family” covers the legal lineage of the O’Donnell family that includes four counselors, three lawyers and two judges.

Justice Terrence O’Donnell
 served on the Supreme Court of Ohio from 2003 through 2018 and is one of Ohio’s longest-serving justices. During his time on the court, he led statewide efforts to promote integrity and professionalism in law, leading to the creation of the nationally recognized Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program. Justice O’Donnell also served on the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for 14 years and the 8th District Court of Appeals for eight years. He previously practiced law at Marshman, Snyder & Corrigan in Cleveland. Justice O’Donnell was a founding member and past president of the Legal Eagles, a law fraternity for alumni of St. Edward High School in Lakewood. He also was a member of the Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellows class of 2005, past member of the board of trustees of Magnificat High School and serves on the board of trustees of the Lawyers Guild of the Diocese of Cleveland, among other civic and professional accomplishments.

Michael O’Donnell
has been with Brouse for 17 years and has handled a variety of complex litigation for sophisticated corporate clients, covering areas such as product liability, contract disputes, premises liability, trade secrets and real estate.
