October 15, 2021

Kyle Shelton recently commented on his June induction as an Honorary Fellow by the Ohio State Bar Foundation. This year’s group of Honorary Fellows are choosing to focus their mission on the rights and issues that are important to the LGBTQ+ community.

In an article featured in Akron Legal News and Youngstown Daily Legal News, Shelton stated, “We will be putting together a meaningful program for our upcoming summit during the week of service that seeks to educate legal professionals and the community at large about the many challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals.” He went on to say, “As attorneys, I believe we are uniquely situated to effect positive change in our community,” and “My goal is to leave things better for future generations.”

The OSBF Fellows program includes nominated attorneys who “give their time, talent, and treasure to advance the law and build a better justice system through community service efforts and monetary donations to the Foundation.” OSBF President Verda K. Hofacker said in a separate press release of the 2021 Fellows, “They are outstanding lawyers and people who are committed to community service.”
