Brouse Noted in Bloomberg Law Regarding Summary Judgement Win for Client Mercy Health

Brouse McDowell is noted in Bloomberg Law’s Daily Labor Report, “Mercy Health Worker Who Took Needle, Syringe Loses Job Bias Suit” for successful representation of Bon Secours Mercy Health, a ministry-led health care system, in a matter involving a surgical assistant’s claim of wrongful termination. Robert Orwick, the former surgical assistant, was terminated from employment because he took a needle and syringe from his employer without permission for personal use, and he was unable to prove his termination constituted disability discrimination.

Bon Secours Mercy Health was represented by in-house counsel Thomas J. Wiencek and Brouse attorney David Sporar.
