Partner Matthew Vansuch Elected to Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors

Partner Matthew Vansuch began his three-year term on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors on July 1, 2022. Vansuch was elected by Ohio Bar member attorneys in District 18, which includes Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull counties.

The Ohio Bar Board of Governors is a 24-member body that is charged with the responsibility of conducting business on the association’s behalf, managing business affairs, setting policy and reviewing pending legislation.

Matthew is a member of Brouse’s Litigation, Business Transactions and Corporate Counseling practice groups as well as the Business Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Commercial Law group. Vansuch represents individuals, businesses and public sector entities on a wide range of issues, including business law, appeals, local government law, land use law, collections, bankruptcy and general civil litigation. At the Ohio Bar, he serves on the Deans and Practitioners Advisory Council. In his community, Vansuch is a graduate of the Leadership Mahoning Valley class of 2013 and has served as a trustee and vice chair of the Northeast Ohio Adoption Services board. He has also been active in his local bar associations, having served as chair of the Trumbull County Bar Association Young Lawyers Committee and on the Court Relations, Executive and Fee Dispute committees. Vansuch earned his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and his law degree from the University of Akron College of Law.
