Brouse McDowell Welcomes Attorneys to the Labor & Employment and Estate Practice Groups

Brouse McDowell, a leading regional business law firm, is pleased to announce that R. Scot Harvey re-joined the firm as an Of Counsel member of the Labor & Employment practice group and that Ashton E. McEvoy joined as an Estate, Succession Planning & Probate Administration Associate, both in the firm’s Akron office.

Harvey previously worked as both an associate and partner at Brouse McDowell. He has extensive experience in representation of employers in all areas of labor & employment law including employment litigation, collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, state and federal administrative proceedings, and day-to-day counseling of clients on personnel issues with an eye toward litigation avoidance.

Harvey earned his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law and both his Masters of Arts and Bachelors of Arts degrees from Syracuse University. He was recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers® in 2005 and 2009-2010.

McEvoy is a recent graduate of The University of Akron School of Law and earned her Bachelors of Arts degree at Kent State University. She previously worked as a Legal Recovery Specialist at one local law firm and as a Law Clerk at another. She also served as a Law Clerk and Legal Extern at the Summit County Probate Court and gained experience as a Legal Intern at The University of Akron School of Law Legal Clinic while working on her Juris Doctorate.
