Negotiation Skills in the Public Sector: Nine Ways to Achieve Cooperation and Reach Consensus
April 27, 2017
This one-hour webinar is designed for both public officials and employees, as well as those who deal on a regular basis with political subdivisions. Conducting negotiations involving governmental entities can be complex and challenging, as the negotiator must deal with competing interests, financial constricts, public opinion and transparency issues. Irv Sugerman is a litigator and law director with over 30 years of experience, having handled cases and matters in virtually every aspect of municipal and township law. Irv has served as the Adjunct Professor of Negotiations for lawyers at The University of Akron School of Law, and is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from mediation and negotiation to land use planning and zoning. This course is designed to give you practical examples of how to achieve win-win outcomes with both constituents and colleagues, as well as cooperation and consensus building in your day-to-day dealings.
