David Raynor’s practice focuses on the general representation of businesses of varying sizes and diverse industries, with a concentration on corporate law, employee benefits and state taxation. David has extensive experience in the negotiation and consummation of acquisitions and dispositions of businesses ranging in value from $200 thousand to in excess of $100 million. He is a frequent lecturer on employee benefits law, particularly on the rules and regulations applicable to employee stock ownership plans.

- Professional & Civic Activities
- David’s civic involvement includes serving as a board of governors member for the Ohio State Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section (1999-present); chairman of the Legislative Review Subcommittee; fellow of the Akron Bar Association Foundation (1991-present)
- Member of the Akron Bar Association Foundation’s board of governors (1995-2001 and former treasurer from 1996-2001); member of the board of trustees (1988-1994) for the Akron Community Theater (n.k.a. the Akron Civic Theater); Leadership Akron’s Class XI, and The United Way of Summit County’s Allocation Panel in 1980.
- David is also active with Old Trail School, serving as trustee emeritus (2001-present); on the board of trustees (1995-2001), treasurer (1996-1999), chairman of the Finance Committee (1996-1999), chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee (1999-2001); and member of the Old Trail School Foundation Board of Trustees (1996-1999).

- Recapitalization and sale of shares of a telecommunications products distributor to venture capital concerns
