Biography
Libby is Co-Chair of the Business Transactions & Corporate Counseling Practice Group. She is also a partner in the Business Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Commercial Law and Real Estate practice groups. Libby’s practice is focused on transactional work, principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, finance, commercial transactions and agreements and real estate purchase and lease agreements. Libby most enjoys serving as outside general counsel and trusted advisor to businesses of varying size, scope and industry.
CORPORATE COUNSELING
Libby advises clients through their day-to-day legal issues and counsels them in achieving their long-term career and financial goals through buying and selling companies and developing plans for the succession of their businesses. Libby provides advice regarding expansion of her clients’ business plans, negotiating joint ventures with strategically-aligned companies, and big-picture guidance in day-to-day operations and maximizing opportunities in their respective marketplaces.
COMMERCIAL CONTRACTING
Libby has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating supply agreements, distributor agreements and other commercial contracts governed by the Uniform Commercial Code. Libby also provides counsel to clients regarding financial transactions and structures, including acquisition financings, and other credit facilities and related agreements.
COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
Libby has professional and personal experience in real estate and enjoys working with clients in real estate sales and acquisitions, both residential and commercial. Libby also assists clients with residential and commercial leasing, property management arrangements, easements and other title-related issues.
