Hanne-Lore joined Brouse McDowell as a summer associate in 2017, working on general business, risk management, and litigation matters. She is a transactional attorney, developing her practice in our Real Estate and Corporate & Securities practice groups. Hanne-Lore is particularly interested in real estate transactions, corporate structuring, liability protection, and contract administration.
While pursuing her J.D. / MBA from the University Of Akron School Of Law and the University Of Akron College Of Business, respectively, Hanne-Lore was an Associate Editor for the Akron Law Review. She also served as President of the University of Akron’s Chapter of Black Law Students Association from 2016-2018, winning National BLSA’s Small Chapter of the Year for the 2017-2018 academic year; and Chief of Staff for the Midwest Region of National Black Law Students Association where she assisted with coordinating the 2018 MWBLSA Regional Conference in St. Louis, MO. Hanne-Lore also volunteered with the Inmate Assistance Program, where she assisted inmates at Summit County Jail with legal research issues; volunteered as a Student Ambassador with the University Of Akron School Of Law; and with several other student organizations, including Student Bar Association and the American Constitution Society. Hanne-Lore received student of the year award in 2018 from the Akron-Canton Barristers Association.
Before entering law school, Hanne-Lore worked in the mental health services industry working with formerly homeless populations to assist in their transition into permanent housing. Hanne-Lore currently lives in Akron with her husband and three children. She is currently serving as President of the Akron Urban League Young Professionals and Outreach Team Leader for the Diversity Committee at the Akron Bar Association. She is also a member of Akron-Canton Barristers Association, volunteers with Project Grad Akron, and has founded an African American Attorney’s mentorship program at the University Of Akron School Of Law. She loves to volunteer in her spare time with various community organizations, and is an avid reader.
