The Client Relationship
A strong attorney-client relationship is the cornerstone of a successful estate plan, and there must be honest communication between the client and attorney. Our attorneys are highly-skilled at listening to our clients and preparing trust documents that accurately provide for how and when the clients’ assets will be distributed upon death.
We strive to develop strong relationships with our clients by doing the little things they appreciate and deserve. We return their phone calls promptly. We send a detailed letter of explanation in plain English whenever we prepare complicated legal documents so that they will have a complete understanding of the documents before they sign them. And once the documents are signed we put them all in a binder so that they are organized in one place for the convenience of our clients and their other advisors.
Once the documents are signed our job is not done. We will assist our clients in transferring their assets to the trust. Often, this is as important as signing the document.
For a new prospective client our lawyers do not charge a fee for the initial estate planning conference, so the client can meet with any of our attorneys to discuss their estate planning concerns with no obligation.
