Webinar: Alex Quay and Irv Sugerman Present on Municipal Appropriations 101

Alex Quay and Irv Sugerman will present at the Akron Bar Association’s CLE program, “Municipal Appropriations 101 - When Private Property is Needed for a Public Purpose,” hosted by the Real Property & Environmental Law Section, on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM. The program has been approved for 3.0 CLE credits.
Alex’s presentation, The Rights & Process for a Municipal Appropriation, will be a review and discussion on applicable statutes governing the rights and process for a municipal appropriation of private property for public purposes.
Irv’s presentation, Valuation & Compensation, will be a discussion on obtaining and submitting appraisals for the valuation of land, methodology used to determine an owner’s compensation for a taking; additional considerations and issues from a municipality’s perspective.
