Labor & Employment Alert: The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act Goes into Effect

You may recall that on April 4, 2023, we provided you with a summary of the new “Pregnant Workers Fairness Act,” which Congress enacted in December 2022, was going into effect on June 27, 2023 and that the EEOC would begin accepting complaints beginning on that day. A copy of the April 4th article is here. In the article we indicated that we anticipated that the standard “Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal” poster would be reissued to include langue covering the new law.
