Biography
Chris has 30 years of real estate, title insurance law, and litigation experience, with an emphasis on title insurance law and Closing Protection Letter (“CPL”) litigation. He represents a substantial array of publicly-traded corporations, closely-held businesses, landowners and developers. Chris counsels clients in controversies involving title insurance policies and CPLs, disputes concerning title and ownership of oil, gas, and mineral rights and interests, real estate development and zoning, construction, and business disputes. He represents technology companies including an information security consulting company at the forefront of attack simulations with a focus on strategic risk management, as well as other skilled providers of technology, marketing, and development services that provide around-the-clock service domestically and internationally.
He routinely practices in federal and state courts, appearing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, the Ohio Supreme Court and other Ohio appellate courts, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota.
