Friends, Clients and Colleagues:In November, 1918, Blake McDowell, Sr. and Edwin Brouse shook hands on Main Street in Akron to form the law firm that ultimately has become Brouse McDowell. The firm was formed officially in January, 1919 and, accordingly, we are now entering our 100th year of service to our clients. We intend to celebrate with a series of special events and commemorations throughout the year and will keep our friends, clients, and colleagues posted on these developments. I am proud of what our firm has been able to accomplish over that 100 years including a continued commitment to excellence, to professional responsibility and community involvement, and to the enthusiastic and vigorous advocacy for our clients and their business matters.

Brouse McDowell celebrates 100 years of client service.
Success today depends largely upon effective management of people. Effective labor and employment counsel help manage various factors that may affect the success, including the dynamic arising among the company, its workers, and market forces, (including government agencies). Practical advice is the result of our knowledge of each client’s business. If we do not understand a client’s business, we learn it on our time, not theirs.
