Akron-Cleveland - 'Brouse McDowell is proud to announce that John C. Fairweather and Paul A. Rose (partners in the Akron office) and Joseph T. Dattilo and Craig A. Marvinney (partners in the Cleveland office), were selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers® – Corporate Counsel Edition 2008. This is a tremendous honor as only approximately 5% of eligible Ohio attorneys are chosen after a rigorous achievement and peer-based review is conducted by Law & Politics Media, Inc.

Joseph T. Dattilo – focuses his expertise on complex business and product litigation for large and medium-sized corporations. Throughout his law career, Joe has been heavily involved in the areas of anti-trust, product liability, construction, contract and environmental litigation. His litigation experience includes acting as lead counsel in major and complex litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Joe is a graduate of The Ohio State University (1973) and Kent State University (1970).

John C. Fairweather – represents clients in complex business litigation, principally in the areas of breach of contract, fraud, deceptive trade practices and tortious conduct in the commercial setting. He is knowledgeable in all facets of complex case litigation and is experienced in cases where intellectual property is a substantial component. He has litigated controversies in state and federal courts around the country and routinely represents or litigates against national and international corporations. John is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law (1977) and the University of Colorado, (1974 with distinction; Phi Beta Kappa).

Craig A. Marvinney – brings first-chair trial practice experience in all aspects of jury and bench litigation, appellate practice and administrative hearings, mediations and arbitrations. His extensive complex litigation practice includes commercial and business disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith, mass tort matters, products liability, chemical exposures, international business transactions and attorney malpractice. Craig’s expertise also includes national coordinating counsel work, trademark, patent infringement, pharmaceutical and medical device, catastrophic extra-contractual and excess insurance matters and alternative dispute resolution. He received both his Juris Doctorate (1982) and Bachelor of Arts (1979 with honors) from Case Western Reserve University.

Paul A. Rose – serves as chair of Brouse McDowell’s Insurance Recovery Group. He has 25 years experience as a business litigator and has tried a wide range of business cases, involving insurance coverage, securities claims, trade secret matters, fraud and a variety of business disputes. He has practiced in trial and appellate courts throughout Ohio and in the Ohio Supreme Court and has appeared in various federal courts, including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Paul is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Law (1982 with honors) and the University of Oklahoma, (1979, with special distinction; Phi Beta Kappa).
