In this webinar, we will discuss the interplay between Ohio’s state data privacy laws and HIPAA. Ohio has stricter laws than HIPAA in some cases, governing when protected health information can be disclosed. We will review those laws and discuss how your practice can comply with both state law and HIPAA to avoid a lawsuit or a breach. We will also briefly address the Notification of Enforcement Discretion of HIPAA during the COVID-19 pandemic.
