Stow-Based Ickes Holt Joins Brouse McDowell

Brouse is pleased to welcome James E. Ickes and Joel A. Holt as new additions to our Litigation and Business Transactions & Corporate Counseling Practice Groups, respectively.
James (Jim) Ickes joins Brouse McDowell’s Akron office as Counsel. He is an experienced attorney concentrating his practice in the areas of civil litigation. He has more than 20 years of experience in federal and state courts in the areas of business litigation and high conflict divorce. In addition, Jim is a HCISPP (Health Care Information Security & Privacy Practitioner) and builds HIPAA compliance programs for his clients in the health care and medical cannabis industries. Jim graduated from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Joel Holt joins Brouse McDowell’s Akron office as Counsel. He is an experienced and accomplished attorney concentrating his practice in the areas of business law, civil litigation, cannabis/hemp law, and information security and privacy. He has a broad range of legal experience, including civil and commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, corporate formation and governance, commercial and residential real estate transactions, copyright and trademark, corporate transactions including asset and stock purchases, private financing transactions and wills and trusts. Joel graduated from the University of Akron School of Law, magna cum laude.
